Systems Administrator (Mac and/or Win) (2 positions)

LEAGUE is seeking two Systems Administrators – one with Windows experience and one with Macintosh experience. Positions will be in either our Victoria or Vancouver office (depending on your location). LEAGUE is interested in qualified candidates who enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment and welcome technical challenges in a professional and confident manner. The successful candidate will be a rock star when it comes to providing customer service to our growing team of staff.

Core responsibilities for this position include:

  • Implementations: designing, migrating, upgrading and implementing Windows environments including Windows Server, desktop, Active Directory and networking or the equivalent in a Macintosh environment
  • Support: supporting and troubleshooting Windows Active Directory as well as Windows servers/clients and/or Macintosh servers/clients and various other services and servers
  • Management: release management, change management, process management
  • Teamwork: working closely with technical teams and project managers, external vendor partners, and other staff to ensure smooth implementations and transitions
  • Customer Service: providing excellent customer service to our staff in a clear and concise manner
  • Participating in the on call rotation for after hours system support
  • Occasional travel to Victoria and/or Vancouver

Required Qualifications:

  • Any combination of MCSE + 1 year of experience, MCITP + 1 year of experience or over five years experience managing Windows clients and servers with sufficient experience to have learned the true limits and capabilities of Windows Server and Active Directory OR
  • Any current Apple certification or over five years experience managing Macintosh OS X clients and servers with sufficient experience to have learned the true limits and capabilities of Mac OS X Server and Open Directory
  • Positive and friendly demeanour; always willing to help

Preference will be given to candidates who possess:

  • Understanding of TCP/IP
  • VMWare Experience
  • Post-secondary degree
  • Current Cisco certifications
  • Experience with managing VoIP phone systems
  • Experience in an enterprise environment (over 10 servers) and previous responsibility for day-to-day server and/or network management
  • Experience in scripting
  • ITIL Foundation
  • Experience in writing clear, concise user documentation and effectively communicating with users of computer technology
  • Independent decision-making skills and capability of working under minimal supervision
