Dear Member-Partners and Friends,
Although there have been many advances in the fight against cancer, the fact remains that there is much yet to do.
This is why we would like to extend you an invitation to join us for a tour of the BC Cancer Agency's Vancouver Island Centre, 2410 Lee Avenue, Victoria on Thursday, November 12, 2009. The tour, which will meet up at the centre's main entrance, will start at 4 p.m. and will end at 5:30 p.m.
As this is such an important cause we at League believe that it falls within the spirit of the 22nd tenet of Our Credo, which states in part "...we continually invest a portion of our time, our expertise and our capital in the improvement of human civilization by partnering with select individuals and organizations whose vision and values closely align with our own..."
Led by Dr. Peter Watson, Chief Physician, Dr. Will Ansbacher an expert in Medical Physics, and Kelly Nystedt, Director of Clinical Operations, Radiation Therapy, this event promises to be highly informative. Participants in the tour will learn about the latest breakthroughs in cancer research and advances in patient care here on Vancouver Island. Moreover, you will have an excellent opportunity to learn more about their "Inspire the World" campaign.
